By the time the 996 reached its final two model years, Porsche had already been building this shape for the better part of a decade. It launched in 1997 as the first water-cooled 911, a move that also meant sharing structure with the contemporary Boxster to spread development costs. This kit is cut to the door and rear window shape as fitted in 2004 and 2005.

A Nose Job, Not A Full Rebuild

The most visible update to hit the range came in 2002, when Porsche gave the Carrera the Turbo's separate headlamp and indicator arrangement and reworked the tail lights to match. None of that touched the doors or the glass behind them, so the window shape here is the same one Porsche had been cutting since the car's debut.

This is a flat tint rather than a colour-shifting film, cut in advance to each window's outline and pressed on dry rather than sprayed. Front and rear are ordered as separate depths, from a light 70% down to a near-black 5%, so the two ends of the car can be matched or set apart.

Coupe, Targa or Cabriolet - does this kit fit all three? No, it's cut for Coupe-spec glass. The Targa's glass roof panel and the Cabriolet's canvas top mean a different rear window shape entirely, so tell us which body style you're ordering for and we'll cut accordingly.
