The tenth-generation Lancer is really two very different cars sharing one badge: the everyday saloon Mitsubishi UK sold through its dealer network from 2007, and the Lancer Evolution X - the turbocharged, all-wheel-drive performance flagship that landed in UK showrooms in 2008. This pre-cut window tint kit is cut to the glass shape they share, so whichever one is on your driveway, the panels are ready to press straight into place.

One platform, two very different fronts

Evolution X's wider front fenders, deeper bumper and bonnet vents are the giveaway from outside, but underneath, the Evo X and the standard Lancer saloon share the same core bodyshell, so this kit's panels are cut to the saloon's glass profile. We haven't been able to confirm down to the part number that Evo X door glass is identical, so if you're fitting a genuine Evolution X, it's worth sending a quick photo of your door glass before you order - better than finding out after trimming.

Whether it's the school run or the track day

A standard Lancer saloon still does daily-driver duty across the UK, so this kit is built with the ordinary jobs in mind - cutting glare on the motorway, keeping the sun off the back seats, adding a bit of privacy on the drive. Evolution X owners tend to want something different: with the 4B11T turbo engine, S-AWC torque-vectoring AWD and, on the UK-tuned FQ-400 and FQ-440MR specials, some genuinely startling power figures, a tint that darkens the cabin without shouting about it suits a car built to be quick rather than loud.

Every panel in this kit is individually laser pre-cut to the Lancer saloon and Evolution X's own glass, so fitting is a case of positioning and squeegee work rather than cutting your own sheet. Pick your own depth for the front doors and rear window independently, from a light 70% through to a near-black 5%, however dark you want to go.

One thing worth flagging: this kit is cut for the Lancer saloon and Evolution X, not the five-door Lancer Sportback, which has a different roofline, tailgate and rear glass shape entirely - if you're driving the Sportback, this isn't the right pattern for you. For the saloon or Evo X, from the earliest 2007 cars through to the final 2017 examples, the glass shape held steady across the facelifts, so you can order with confidence.
