Introduced to UK buyers in 1994, this second-generation Sonata - known internally as the Y3 - was Hyundai's first real step toward a genuinely European-feeling saloon, replacing a far more dated first generation. That late-1996 update brought a new grille, bumper, headlights and front fenders, giving the Sonata a sharper look partway through this run.
